HebeiJiaotongVocationalandTechnicalCollegeisafulltimestate-runcollege.ItissubordinatetotheEducationDepartmentofHebeiProvince.HebeiJiaotongVocationalandTechnicalCollege,establishedin1949,hasexperiencedseveralhistoricalperiods,ShijiazhuangHighwayEngineeringCollegeoftheMinistryofCommunications,HebeiShijiazhuangCommunicationsCollege,HebeiShijiazhuangProfessionalTrainingSchoolofCommunications,HebeiCommunicationsCollegeandHebeiJiaotongVocationalandTechnicalCollege.ItwasoneofthesixuniversitiesandcollegesofhighwayengineeringfirstestablishedbytheMinistryofCommunicationsthroughoutthecountrywithitseducationcateringtoundergraduates,secondaryspecializedstudentsandhighervocationalstudentsindifferentdevelopmentstages.

Coveringanareaof78.7hectares,ourcollegehas50specialtiesoutoftheeightspecializeddepartmentsandtwobasicdepartments.Wepossessabundantteachingresources,over640,000booksinthelibrary,88trainingroomsofthe8trainingcentersincollege,273trainingbasesoutsidecollegeaswellasaDrivers'TrainingCenterofHebeiProvincecateringtouniversityandcollegestudents.Moreover,withthejointeffortsofalltheteachersandadministrativestaff,wehavemadecertainachievements.Atpresent,weboost2keyspecialtiesofthestatecommunicationssystem,3typicalspecialtiesofeducationalandteachingreformofhighervocationaleducationofHebeiprovince,2trainingbasesofvocationaleducationsupportedbynationalandprovincialfinanceaswellas18coursesoffinequality,amongwhich2coursesareofprovinciallevel.

Intermsofteachingstaff,wehaveatotalof408full-timeteacherswith97ofthemholdingdoctor'sormaster'sdegreeaswellas17professorsand151associateprofessors.Worthmentioningisthat72%oftheteachersareprofessionalinboththeoreticalteachingandskillstraining.Ourcollegeenrollsstudentsfrom29provinces,municipalitiesandautonomousregionsofthecountry.Atpresent,thereare7545full-timestudentsinourcollege.Meanwhile,wealsoproduce9260short-termtraineeseachyear.

AstheonlyhighervocationalcollegeofcommunicationsinHebeiprovince,ourcollegehasbeenlistedtheStateCultivationBaseofBadly-NeededTalentsbytheMinistryofEducation,theMinistryofCommunications,etc.Meanwhile,weenjoythefollowingprestige,suchasthetrainingbasesoftheAutomobileExaminationandRepairTechnologyofHebeiProvinceandforSecondaryCollegeTeachersDedicatedinLogistics,China-CanadaInterchangeCollegeofPost-High-SchoolVocationalandTechnicalEducation,oneoftenBestUniversitiesandCollegesofChinaLogisticsTalentsaswellastheCultivationBaseofChinaLogisticsTalents.
