Xiantao No.1 Middle School is located in Xiantao City proper, which is directly under Hubei provincial government and 80 kilometers west of Wuhan. The school, originally founded in 1958, was reestablished in January 2003 cooperatively by Xiantao Municipality and Hainan Tiansen Investment Corporation Limited. In July 2004 the school was wholly moved to the current site, 88 Golden Avenue. The new school campus, quiet and beautiful, occupies an area of 568 mu, with a building area of around 150, 000 square meters, making it the largest in Hubei and one of the best in the country. ChiLi, a nationwide famous woman writer, once studied and graduated from here.

Xiantao No.1 Middle School is equipped with all necessary devices and enjoys a rather high level of modernization. All the buildin[FS:PAGE]gs are rationally distributed and serve different functions. There are teaching buildings, labs, students’ apartments, a science library, an academic lecture hall, a gym & art gallery, and a plastic cement playground.
